At Silverlea Supported Living, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, person centred support services that promote independence and enrich lives. We use Equine and Animal Facilitated Learning to support Service Users to grow, learn and become more independent.
Our mission is to empower individuals through supportive, person centred care and Equine Facilitated Learning to promote happiness, growth, learning, greater independence, confidence and positivity.
All of our staff are fully trained, reference and enhanced DBS checked and we are monitored annually by our local authority.
We offer Equine Facilitated Supported Living to adults with Learning disabilities.
Most individuals who live here have just left college and are learning to live more independently away from their parents or caregivers.
They usually have a particular interest in horses and animals and we use equine and animal based learning throughout our service.
All of our service users are offered the opportunity to help look after our horses and animals on the farm.
On our farm we have Event horses, New Forest ponies, rare breed sheep, chickens and of course our pet dogs.
Equine and Animal Facilitated Learning techniques are used throughout our service and all residents are offered the opportunity to interact and care for the animals on our farm.
Equine Facilitated Learning enhances personal development and life skills through interaction with horses. It's power should never be underestimated.
We offer accommodation in a privately owned house located in a pretty village, just outside the beautiful New Forest National Park in Hampshire.
We provide a safe and supportive environment, tailored to the needs of individuals.
Individuals are offered support in all aspects of daily living. Working together with local businesses, charities and colleges, individuals are supported to choose the path that is right for them. For some this is the world of work or volunteering, while for others this may be further education or other activities.
